Pedestrian Accidents in Louisiana

undefinedPedestrian crashes in the state of Louisiana often have devastating consequences for the victims. We see countless pedestrians left with severe injuries that require emergency medical attention. Unfortunately, there are many accidents that are completely preventable.

One of the most common causes of pedestrian accidents is driver distractions. When drivers take their eyes off the road, even for a second, they're putting pedestrians at risk. Unfortunately, many pedestrian accidents take place due to drivers who are using their phones, eating, or messing with other electronic devices while behind the wheel.

Speeding is another major factor in pedestrian accidents that we see here in Farmerville and across the entire state. When drivers exceed the posted speed limits or drive too fast for road conditions and during inclement weather conditions, they increase the risk of striking nearby pedestrians.

In addition, failing to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians, running red lights or stop signs, and making illegal turns are all dangerous actions that continually put pedestrians in jeopardy.

If another driver's actions have caused you harm, you may be able to file a personal injury claim to seek financial compensation for some of the losses in the expenses that you face. It is absolutely critical that you act quickly and reach out to a pedestrian accident lawyer in Farmerville right away. A skilled and seasoned legal team will be able to demand full compensation for all of the losses and damages that you face during this very difficult time.
