Monroe, LA (March 3, 2023) – Authorities confirmed that at least one person was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a car crash in the Monroe area on Wednesday.
Just after 3:30 p.m. on February 22, authorities were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that took place on Martin Luther King Jr Drive.
Preliminary reports show that two vehicles collided in the 1600 block of the roadway. The incident blocked several lanes of the road in the area near the Wossman High School.
Emergency officials rushed to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Injuries were confirmed as a result of this crash.
Emergency medical services rendered aid to the victims before transporting them to local hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently being investigated.
