Monroe, LA (March 19, 2023) - At least one person was left injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Monroe on Wednesday evening.
The Louisiana State police received a call for help at approximately 8:45 p.m. on March 15 regarding a car crash on Interstate 20.
According to officials, vehicles collided on the eastbound side of the interstate near mile marker 115 just before Stella Street. The incident blocked the left lane of travel, causing congestion that extended back to Thomas Road.
The state police and firefighters out of Monroe responded to the scene to provide assistance.
Emergency medical services rendered aid to victims while on-site. An unknown number of people were transported to local hospitals for further care.
The incident remains under investigation.
