Suspected Impaired Driver Causes Head-On Crash on LA-15 in Farmerville, LA

Farmerville, LA (September 7, 2026) – On Friday, September 4, a 29-year-old Farmerville man caused a head-on crash on Louisiana Highway 15 just south of Airline Drive. As a result of the collision, the Farmerville man was pronounced dead and the other driver was injured.

According to the Louisiana State Police, the wreck happened shortly after 7:00 p.m. An initial investigation found that the man was driving a 2007 Toyota Avalon south on Highway 15 when he crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2014 Chevrolet Camaro head-on.

Investigators suspect impairment caused the driver to veer from his lane. He was not properly restrained and was hospitalized with serious injuries before he died at the hospital the following day.

The driver of the Camaro, who was properly restrained, was treated for moderate injuries.

The investigation into the crash remains active as toxicology results are pending.
