Monroe, LA – Child Killed in Car Crash on LA-546

Monroe, LA (December 31, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident reported on Thursday in Monroe claimed one person’s life. The accident occurred at around 4:00 p.m. on December 28.

Reports provided by the Louisiana State Police Troop F indicate that a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles took place on Louisiana 546. Investigations indicate that a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on the roadway when it collided with the northbound Ford F150 pickup truck. A 4-year-old child in the Toyota was severely injured in the crash. The victim was rushed to an area hospital for emergency care. Authorities confirmed that the child passed away from his injuries early Friday morning. At this time, the accident is being investigated.
