Monroe, LA (January 4, 2024) – The Louisiana State Police responded to the scene of an automobile collision that occurred in Monroe and resulted in injuries. Calls for assistance came in at around 11:49 a.m. on January 3.
Official crash reports indicate that vehicles were involved in a collision in the right lane of travel on Interstate 20 W. The incident prompted LSP to close down the roadway with the assistance of firefighters near mile marker 139. Congestion extended approximately two miles from the scene of the accident, causing delays throughout the area. EMS was requested on-site to treat the injured victims and to transfer them to area hospitals. At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
