Monroe, LA – Car Accident with Injuries on I-20 near LA-183

Monroe, LA (January 26, 2024) – Troopers with the Louisiana State Police were called to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Monroe on Wednesday morning and ended in injuries. The crash took place at approximately 5:45 a.m. on January 24.

LSP reports indicate that the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 were closed near Exit 145 at Louisiana Highway 183 due to a motor vehicle collision. The accident blocked multiple lanes, causing some disruptions in the area. Emergency medical services personnel were summoned to the crash site to care for the injured parties. Victims who required further medical attention were transported by ambulance to local hospitals. At this time, investigations surrounding the collision are underway.
