Monroe, LA (March 19, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Monroe sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries. The incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. on March 18.
According to police reports, an automobile accident occurred on Interstate 20 during the evening hours. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the involved vehicles blocking several lanes of the roadway near Louisiana Highway 546. Delays in traffic were reported as far as four miles from the scene of the accident. Medical personnel responded to the scene to care for the injured victims. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals for further medical care. The state police are currently investigating the accident.
