Franklin Parish, LA (January 23, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian crash reported in the Gilberts area claimed the life of a 19-year-old female. On January 17, the Franklin Parish Sheriff’s office responded to the site of a fatal crash on US Highway 425.
According to law enforcement, a 19-year-old female was crossing US Highway 425 on foot near the Dollar General store.
As she attempted to cross the roadway, she was struck by a vehicle.
The teen suffered severe injuries due to the crash. Authorities responded to the scene to provide her care. However, she was pronounced deceased by the Franklin Parish Sheriff’s office while at the scene of the accident.
The Sheriff’s office is currently investigating the collision.
